It doesn’t appear that DaCast is in the list of providers when I downloaded the MAC version. Can you point me to the correct version to download or the correct settings to use in the custom provider?

    • Etienne Noualhat says:

You should be able to find the last version from your manager account: when you edit one of your live streaming, in “Encoder Setup”, DaCast OBS is available for download.
From there, in the DaCast OBS setting, select Stream and you should be able to find “DaCast” in the stream types!

    Hello
I have the same problem with MAC Download.

    • Etienne Noualhat says:

      Hey Salvador! Of course.
You would need to go to settings > stream tab > stream type and you should find the last version that you can use with Mac!
Let me know if that helps you.

I’m experiencing the same probably as these other two and none of this advice helped me. I downloaded the agent twice and it won’t appear anywhere on my computer. I have no way of opening dacast obs or finding it on my computer

You might want to work with the OBS team so they add you as a supported CDN. I have used Wirecast for years (and vMix more recently) and they’ve got you in there – but the one linked to from your support page is multiple generations back, and the current one doesn’t show DACast as a supported CDN. We are intrigued by OBS now that they claim Mac OS X Catalina support but are having issues getting the stream from OBS into DACast. 🙁

OBS Studio 24.0.6 64 bit is the current download for Mac FYI.

I was able to get OBS DaCast to show up after deleting OBS Studio on my MacBook Pro. I want to be able to use OBS Studio so a tutorial using custom settings to do so would be great.

If you choose “custom streaming server” in the stream list and then regenerate the stream key from Dacast, plug that key into OBS, it will populate the stream type as Decast streaming as a service. Worked for me.

I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else. With both OBS Studio and the Dacast version of OBS you cannot choose Dacast as stream type. Has this problem ever been resolved?
